John Chapman holds an MBA from the Babcock School of Management at Wake Forest University and BS in Finance from the University of Connecticut. He brings 30 years of experience leading high-level sales efforts in start-ups and established international companies in retail, manufacturing and energy such as Kennametal Inc., Stanley Works, and Coca-Cola.
John was awarded the prestigious Sales Excellence Award during his time at Stanley. From 1991 until 2007 he led Kennametal's CPG sales efforts growing revenue at a 15.62% Compound Annual Growth Rate. In 2008, he started a distribution company, building revenues to over$2M, selling in 2011.
He also served on the board of directors for several start-ups and has been a member of the board of directors for Junior Achievement since 2002.
Currently, John is a sales consultant at the JL Chapman group on sales strategy and is the Co-Founder of the North Carolina Sales Institute and Adjunct Marketing Professor for the Joseph M. Bryan School of Business and Economics at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
